That is according to head coach Luke Walton.
Kuzma has been one of the Lakers’ best players so far this season, but he went into Sunday’s game in somewhat of a slump,
The star had only managed a maximum of 15 points in a game throughout the Lakers’ five-game stretch.
However, when he went to the Magic, things were different, and Kuzma was firing at will again.
Despite the Lakers not coming away with the win, the star drained two three-pointers and scored 21 points.
And Walton hinted that part of the reason behind his mid-season slump was that he was feeling the weight of expectation.
“We have really high expectations for Kuz so we ask him to do a lot,” he said.
“That goes from scoring to playing defense to rebounding to guarding perimeter players and post players.
“For a second-year player, he’s got a lot of responsibility on his plate but I think he’s doing a really nice job of handling it.
“Kuz wants to win.
“He ultimately just wants to win.
“He naturally is a scorer and that’s what he enjoys doing most, but he’s all-in for whatever it takes to win.
“He’s made some really nice leaps in other parts of his game.”
The Lakers are next in action tonight as they face the Denver Nuggets.
Tip-off in Denver is 2am Wednesday morning.
