What we know through the first ten games

The Detroit Pistons are 5-5 through ten games to start the 2018-2019 season. What else do we know about this team through ten games?

The Detroit Pistons had an intriguing off-season. They relieved Stan Van Gundy of his duties as head coach and president of basketball operations. Detroit then parted ways with general manager Jeff Bower.

This is after missing the playoffs in two straight seasons.

Owner Tom Gores hired Ed Stefanski to oversee basketball operations in an executive role. He then hired former head coach of the year Dwane Casey. They were brought in to bring back winning ways to Detroit after a very disappointing decade of basketball.

The Pistons have had a rollercoaster ride of a season through their first ten games of the 2018-2019 season. After starting the season 4-0, they dropped their next five games.

The Pistons were able to get back on track against the Orlando Magic in their last game. They won 103-96 on the road.

Head coach Dwane Casey has had his team playing competitive basketball in almost every game this season. Considering how much they’re struggling on the offensive end, it’s impressive that they’ve been in position to win almost all of their games to this point.

There are guys playing very well right now. There are players struggling a lot through the first ten games. However, I believe this team has yet to reach it’s full potential.
