The Warriors plan to have an update on center DeMarcus Cousins, who is rehabbing a torn left Achilles tendon, sometime next week.
Cousins began to participate in 5-on-5 scrimmages three weeks ago. But given that Golden State is slogging through a game-heavy stretch, Cousins has had limited opportunities to simulate game situations.
"I don’t have any update in terms of when he might play," Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said. "He’s continuing to build strength in his rehab program with (director of sports medicine and performance) Rick (Celebrini). I talked to Rick today about him. That has to go hand in hand with the conditioning.
"Conditioning needs to come with more court time, more scrimmage time. We have so many games bunched up right now that we haven’t really had a chance to get DeMarcus into a scrimmage situation. That’ll be coming."
