Even as Rockets offense picks up, Eric Gordon struggling with shot
As much as has turned around offensively for the Rockets, there is one conspicuous item on the to-do list left unchecked.
"We got to get Eric (Gordon) rolling a little bit," Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni said.
Gordon said they will. His production had been steady in recent games, averaging 13 points in his past three games. He added a season-high five assists on Saturday. But Gordon's shooting has remained off with his 32.6 percent shooting ranking last on the Rockets and the worst of his career, as is his 24.8 percent 3-point shooting.
"I can definitely be a lot better, definitely," said Gordon, who is averaging 14.7 points, the second-fewest of his 11-season career. "I'm not shooting as well. I know that. I'm not going to shoot like this forever. I'm going to definitely get better.
"My No. 1 concern is winning. Ever since I've been here, we've just been winning. That's the main goal."
