During a recent media session, San Antonio Spurs rookie Lonnie Walker IV stated he will be returning to the court on November 30th with the G League's Austin Spurs.

"First game is on Friday but with the G League team. I'll be playing down in Austin for a few days. [I'll] be on a minutes restrictions and stuff but just trying to get a rhythm, get a feel for the game."

Walker is currently assigned to the Austin Spurs as part of the continued rehab of the torn meniscus he suffered in the preseason. He mentioned to reporters he is pain free and he is shooting the ball well.

Walker also said Tim Duncan and others have been supporting him in his recovery.

"Coach Pop (Popovich), R.C. (Buford), Tim Duncan is another guy who kind of has been here trying to encourage me."

Walker is eager to get on the court for San Antonio but knows that goal is still a work in progress.
