After a scorching four-game winning streak to open, the Pelicans dropped six in a row, including all five of a Western Conference road trip before finally getting back into the win column against Chicago.

A defense ranked 26th in the league, hit-or-miss games from Anthony Davis, injuries (Elfrid Payton, Darius Miller and Davis), live-ball turnovers or inconsistency at the small forward position could all be to blame for the slide.
