Steven Adams on struggles against Nuggets: ‘I was just [expletive]’

The Thunder struggled mightily on Saturday night.

The team trailed by as many as 25 points while shooting just 29.2 percent during the first half of the game. They managed to cut the lead down to just five points, but were unable to get any closer as they lost, 105-98.

Steven Adams recorded just 12 points and 14 rebounds on 6-of-15 shooting from the field as he struggled to finish against Mason Plumlee during the first half as he went 0-of-6 from the field in the first half compared to 6-of-9 in the second half.

“I was just [expletive], honestly,” Adams said. “I was trying to finish, it felt good but it was just lame. I was just [expletive]. Maybe I was more aggressive I guess you could say but I was still trying to do the same things but they were going in.”

Overall, it was a tough game for the Thunder as they dug themselves into a huge hole in the first half and were unable to dig out of it in the second half of the game.

They now have three days off before playing the Cavaliers on Wednesday so they have some time to review their mistakes and find a way to correct them.
