Russell Westbrook of Oklahoma City Thunder out against Houston Rockets

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Russell Westbrook missed his second consecutive game with a sprained left ankle, but the Oklahoma City Thunder topped the Houston Rockets 98-80 on Thursday night for their seventh straight victory.

Westbrook also missed the Thunder's victory Wednesday night over Cleveland.

Dennis Schroder, who scored a season-high 28 points against the Cavs, got the start again and had 14 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Thunder, who improved to 7-4 after opening the season with four straight losses.

Westbrook was hurt Monday night against New Orleans. After coming down hard on the side of his foot, he pounded the ground in frustration before limping off the court.

Westbrook had a procedure on his right knee that sidelined him for the preseason and the first two games of the regular season. The Thunder are 5-2 with him in the lineup and 1-2 without him. The former league MVP is averaging 24.1 points, 8.9 assists and 8.3 rebounds.
