Preview: Miami Heat at Chicago Bulls, 8 p.m., Friday

Scouting report: This is the first game of the three-game season series, with the Bulls to visit AmericanAirlines Arena only once. The Heat also will play in the United Center on Jan. 19 . . . The Heat went 3-1 against the Bulls last season and have gone 1-1 at the United Center each of the past two seasons . . . The Heat have won at least once in Chicago every season since 2011-12 . . . The game opens a two-game trip for the Heat that ends Sunday in Toronto . . . The Heat enter with losses in six of their last seven . . . The game closes a three-game homestand for the Bulls, opening a back-to-back for Chicago that concludes Saturday in Minnesota . . . Chicago is coming off Wednesday's 124-116 victory over the Suns, led by the 29 points of Zach LaVine and 20 points and 13 rebounds of Jabari Parker . . . The victory snapped a four-game losing streak for the Bulls . . . Dion Waiters (ankle), Goran Dragic (knee) and Tyler Johnson (hamstring) are out for the Heat . . . For the Bulls, Kris Dunn (knee), Lauri Markkanen (elbow), Bobby Portis (knee), Chandler Hutchinson (back) and Denzel Valentine (ankle) are out, with Tyler Ulis and Rawle Alkins on G League assignment.
