ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - On Thanksgiving morning, the Orlando Magic, including its players, coaches, and staff, served a Thanksgiving breakfast to the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida.
In attendance was more than 120 Magic staff members, including Magic Community Ambassadors Nick Anderson and Bo Outlaw. Magic Dancers served the meals to over 500 residents at the coalition.
This is the 26th year that the Orlando Magic has served a Thanksgiving breakfast to the homeless. The event is part of the NBA Cares Season of Giving, taking place between November 19th and December 25th.
The team and the Amway Corporation will also distributed 475 Thanksgiving meals to undeserved families in the Central Florida area on Wednesday. The meals include a turkey and all the trimmings, including stuffing, turkey gravy, green beans, and dessert. The donated meals were made possible by Magic player Aaron Gordon, the Amway Center, and the Magic team.
