UNDATED (WHTC-AM/FM) - A new high school boys' basketball season begins along the Lakeshore this evening with six of the 10 area teams in action. Hamilton is home to Coopersville, with Greg Chandler calling the action around 6:40 PM on 99 7 and 1450 WHTC, while at that same time on the Lakeshore's 92 7 The Van, Gary Stevens brings you Saugatuck's opener versus visiting Wyoming Lee. Other contests include Holland Christian at Covenant Christian, Fennville at Kalamazoo Christian, Calvary entertaining Sparta at Holland Christian, and Black River home to Fruitport Calvary.

Pierre-Luc Dubois scored two goals and set up another as the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets held off the Red Wings last night, 7-5. Detroit hosts the St. Louis Blues at Little Caesars Arena tomorrow evening, with broadcast time at 7:10 PM on 99 7 and 1450 WHTC.
