The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Chicago Bulls Saturday night at home, and it was highlighted by a monster game for Karl-Anthony Towns, who pulled off a Kevin Garnett-like stat line against Chicago.
Towns finished with 35 points (13-of-23 shooting), 22 rebounds, and six assists versus the Bulls. By doing so, the All-Star big man joined Garnett as the only players in franchise history to put up those numbers in a single game.

The Timberwolves are now 9-11 on the season and 5-2 since trading Jimmy Butler to the Philadelphia 76ers. The Timberwolves look like an actual team on the floor now that Butler and his dysfunctional ways are gone.
Karl-Anthony Towns has been a force ever since Butler was traded. The former No. 1 overall pick has scored 25, 25, 14, 15, 22, 21, and now 35 in the seven games the team has played in the post-Jimmy Butler era. Towns looks more comfortable on the court and is playing worry-free basketball.
The Bulls didn’t have an answer for Towns all night. Chicago rookie Wendell Carter Jr. tried to do his best, but he was no match for Karl-Anthony Towns, who had a double-double at halftime. Towns and the Timberwolves have won two-straight games and will look to make it three in a row when they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday.
