Jabari Parker impresses with third straight 20 plus point game

Chicago Bulls Jabari Parker scores season-high 27 points to keep 20 plus points streak alive even in loss.

Chicago Bulls forward Jabari Parker has been on a real hot streak lately and it continued Saturday night, as he scored a season-high 27 points. Giving him three straight games of 20 plus points or more.

Unfortunately for the Bulls though even despite Parker having what was easily among his top four or five games of the season by adding seven rebounds, four assists and two steals to his season-high point total. They lost pretty handily to the Timberwolves in Minnesota 111-96.

Besides Parker, Zach LaVine also added yet another 20 plus point game effort. Going for 28 points to make it all but two games he has played in so far this season where he has reached at least 20 or more.

Having a streak like LaVine’s most would probably pick him as the Bulls player of the game Saturday night, but I feel Parker had a more efficient game across the board.

With his 11-of-18 shooting from the field, which included 3-of-5 from beyond the arc compared to Zach’s 9-of-17 shooting from the field and 0-for-3 from beyond the arc being not as efficient.

If not for his 10 points from the free throw line then LaVine wouldn’t have even gotten his normal 20 plus points.  Parker only needing two of his points from the charity stripe.

Not known much to have great defense, Parker actually had two steals and a block compared to LaVine not having any steals or blocks too.

Next: Poor showing in 4th quarter leads to loss in MIN

While you can argue that Parker should have had at least three or four more rebounds and that the Bulls probably would have been even more out of the game had both players not had the type of games they had.

Both LaVine and Parker combining for over half of the teams points with 55.  But it was clearly Parker who had the better across the lines numbers and why I picked him as Saturday’s player of the game.
