‘I could see this being being home’

Now with the third team of his NBA career, it appears that Jimmy Butler has found a long-term match with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Philly has amassed a 5-2 record since they inserted Butler into the lineup after acquiring him from the Minnesota Timberwolves. While Butler can’t officially begin negotiating a contract extension with the Sixers currently, that didn’t prevent him from sharing his feelings about his new team.

“We’ll worry about that when the time comes [regarding a new contract], but I really do like it here, I’ll tell you that. But I don’t know what the future holds.

This is a helluva locker room, helluva staff. I could see this being home.”

Butler is shooting 51.5 percent from the field and averaging 20.3 points per game with the Sixers. Philly and its new star will look to keep the momentum going against the New York Knicks on Wednesday.
