Golden State Warriors power forward Draymond Green has missed the previous six games with a toe injury and the three-time All-Star likely won’t make it back until at least the Atlanta Hawks game next Monday, meaning he’ll miss the Thursday game against the Toronto Raptors and the Saturday game versus the Detroit Pistons, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.
The Warriors are about to embark on a five-game road trip.
Green is still feeling the lingering effects of a toe sprain. Sources say Green, who has yet to return to practice, likely won’t make it back until at least the Atlanta game next Monday, meaning he’ll miss the Thursday game in Toronto and the Saturday game in Detroit.
In 13 games this season, Draymond Green is averaging 6.9 points, 7.5 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game. The 28-year-old is shooting 44.4 percent from the field, 22.2 percent from beyond the arc and 66.7 percent from the free-throw line.
Green has only played in one game since the incident with Kevin Durant occurred against the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center. He had an awful games versus the Houston Rockets, scoring zero points in 23 minutes of action. Green told reporters he probably shouldn’t have played in that game because of his toe, but that he wanted to given everything that was happening between him and Durant.
The Warriors are 15-7 on the season and have won three-straight after losing four games in a row for the first time in the Steve Kerr era.
