Carlisle said Dirk may be able to play in a game in the month of November. The @dallasmavs host the Nets tomorrow and Boston on Sat., play at Houston on Nov. 28 and at the LA Lakers on Nov. 30. Nowitzki hasn’t played this season as he’s recovering from Apr. 5 left ankle surgery.

Updates on Barea, Matthews, and Powell
The coach shared a full injury report after Tuesday’s practice which fans can read about here courtesy of Bobby Karalla.
Rick Carlisle says Wesley Matthews will be out tomorrow. Barea and Powell are doing better but no word yet. Dirk is “getting closer” and Carlisle says if things stay going well he could play this month. Too early for a firm timetable though.

Having Wesley Matthews out hurts, but the return of J.J. Barea might be most important. The Mavericks need Barea running that second unit against the Nets tonight. Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
