Brooklyn Nets and Juventus to band together for ‘viewing night’

The Nets haven’t announced it yet, but the team and Juventus, the Italian soccer club —and home team of Christiano Ronaldo, the biggest sports star in the world — are joining together for a “viewing party” on the night December 7 before the Nets play the Raptors.

Barclays Center will be outfitted in black-and-white, the team colors of both teams, and the Juventus logo will be displayed on both the interior and exterior of the arena. Juventus gear will be available in the Nets Swag Shop.

Before the Nets-Raptors game begins, the Juventus match with Inter Milan will be shown on screens at Barclays, according to press reports out of Europe. No details have yet been provided but the Juventus’ game in Torino kicks off at 2:30 p.m. ET allowing fans to watch the Italian champions in action before the Nets’ game.

Juventus’ club ambassador and former France international soccer star David Trezeguet will be in attendance, as will the club’s mascot “Jay.”

The Italian club is coming to the U.S. to promote its brand and to expand its market. Already this season, Juventus-branded basketball jerseys have already started to appear in team stores.
