Detroit Pistons star Blake Griffin is enjoying one of his best starts to a campaign for several years after suffering numerous injuries that led to missing nearly 90 games in the last three seasons.
Blake Griffin has struggled to stay healthy for the last few seasons. This year, the five-time All-Star looks like the type of player he used to be in his Los Angeles Clippers days. Griffin is second in the league to Stephen Curry with 28.6 points per game through eight contests, while also grabbing 10.9 rebounds and collecting 4.5 assists per game.
He is playing a much different role as a power forward for the Detroit Pistons under coach Dwane Casey, who is giving Griffin the chance to be the guy who distributes the ball. This playmaking role is extremely new for him, but he’s excelling immensely so far this year.
Let’s take a deeper dive into what Blake Griffin has done this season with the Pistons.
