Terrance Ferguson's timeline has not changed

Billy Donovan says Terrance Ferguson's timeline from injury has not changed.

Although Ferguson participated in Monday's practice, the Oklahoma City Thunder head coach said his timeline regarding his sprained ankle injury has not changed.

Ferguson initially sprained his ankle against the Golden State Warriors on November 21 during the first quarter. He did not return to the game and he has missed the Thunder's past two games versus the Charlotte Hornets and Denver Nuggets. Dennis Schroder started in Ferguson's place versus the Hornets while Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot started on Saturday versus the Nuggets.

Here is a full transcript of Donovan's quote regarding Ferguson's recovery from his sprained ankle injury.

“This is part of his rehab,” Donovan said. “He basically didn’t do anything today with the team. When we finished up practice, this is an opportunity for him to do a little bit of movement and cutting and then we’ll see how he feels. He is still on the same track that we’ll re-evaluate after 10 days how close he is to getting back to playing.”

Although Ferguson has averaged just 4.1 points and 2.0 rebounds in 21.3 minutes per game, he has started all 15 of the team's games that he has appeared in. Ferguson initially took a role in the starting lineup due to Andre Roberson's own injury.

Considering Ferguson won't be re-evaluated until later in the week, expect the Thunder to switch between Schroder and Luwawu-Cabarrot as they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers and Atlanta Hawks later in the week.
